For An Infinitude
In my mind, I run when I need some calm, some form of escape or when in lack of something refreshing. In yesterday's reality, it was by force of an inner voice partly longing to try out my new asics, partly needing to get back into some groove of energy output. It has most definitely been too long since I ran (in yesterday's case- a fast walk at the end). My thighs screamed for me to stop, my lungs felt like the sharp wind and fresh air was stabbing it repeatedly for staying away for so long. I met Nath halfway through his run home from work. It was a funny sight. Damn his long strides. Unfortunately, he lost a quarter of his run home due to me, battling with myself not to give up. Hah. Only 3 and a half ks but hey its a start. Snapped that paddle pop sky just before we went in for more torture in the form of core exercises. We're using an inflatable ball to do them and there are all these names for the specific exercises but I can't remember them. Instead, I've taken to re-name them. There's the walrus moon (since we exercise in the evening) greeting for the lower back, a flirty mermaid tail, -come on, kiss the ground- and a few others haha (desperately want to sneak a pic of Nath doing the walrus moon greeting). Soon, I will be better and shall look back to this picture as a beginning to something healthy. I will have paddle pop ice-cream and deserve it (:
