Die Drei Musketiere

The last time we giggled, held hands and embraced each other with teary eyes was too long ago.

July of 2010 in Malaysia on your way home to Germany, mmm (:

If you can't cry with girlfriends, then, who can you with?!

In a glass house of Sekeping Serendah, you pleaded with the rest... " I want to make a monkey my friend!" Yeah, you crazeeeee like that. Sheltered beneath mosquito nets, we slumbered and listened to nature. So serene it was that I dreaded leaving... But, move we must.

Just before you arrived, I found an unsent letter to you. 'Die drei Musketiere' as it were. I was finishing up at uni, you were working at that cafe in a castle of Bad Sooden-Allendorf. We were figuring life out. We're still figuring life out, not as frenetically though. Yay! Yeah, so it goes... and years passed but we remained. I thanked you for mailing a gingerbread man last Christmas and you told me how the "fu 福" I sent you still hung up on your wall.

So, when you emailed saying you'd be in town, I was beside myself... Overly enthused! A whole week of catching up was not enough... it sufficed though, to tie me over to our next and hopefully adventure in... Latin America?

It's been a few weeks now, that you've left and I send you support and love to Papa New Guinea x

Labour weekend getaways: One of the good ones, goodbye suzuki.

Walking up Mt. Maunganui.. hello trees!!!

Paragliders, I'll always adore.

Too happy at El Sizzling Chorizo.

Who are we kidding, we could never be vegetarian. Hola!

Much needed and so yum- waikanae crab omelette with sambal! At Toru.

We also found time to hike at the Waitakere Ranges, kere kere!

Oh the good times and silliness x

When the wind is music in your ears, you find you're there. You're anywhere you want to be.

Once a Waiheke ago

Ignore the absence (:

About a month-ish ago, some Vinks hopped on a place and graced Auckland with their newly-minted Melbournesque glow. If anything, this year has been an adjustment for all. I do's have been said, eight decades of age achieved and countries, moved.

Too much words for the weekend, so, I'll zero in on Waiheke!

It's havoc in the best sense when Vink boys are together (: Dry and witty humour, buckets full of laughter and wine!

With just two nights to soak their company in, I agreed to anything they wanted to do. Yeah, I'm like that lol. We got up real early after a late night (of 'What does the fox say?' and other shenanigans) and put our car on the ferry. At this point, it didn't look like we were going to get the very much needed light that is essential in New Zealand.

I love though, being wrong in these cases for as soon as we stepped off, the sun greeted us kindly, with the promise of more for later x

Whilst Snappy The Crocodile (cute German kiddy song) gave us the bounce we needed, we drove to breakfast and some planning. The upmost important question- which wineries should we hit up?!

I don't have many pictures to share but trust me, it was goodness in a tall, slim, alluring glass. Yum. So blissful it was that we changed our ferry to the mainland... not once, but twice!

And in between, we took sun at the The Oyster Inn. Oh yes, I recommend! Mmmm (:

At our final wine sipping space of a place, discussion of all sorts floated up into the puffy clouds and we giggled, were serious and contemplated. A peaceful variation of any sort of discussion. One of the good ones for certain (:

Yeah, a definite day well-spent x

Some ferry silliness x
(uniqlo love!)
