Yesterday marked the last day of summer and now we welcome autumn (:
I, however am in no hurry to jump into another season. Instead, I'm heading to Pauanui for the weekend for more sun contact, midnight swims and mountain climbs? Mayhaps.
The much anticipated devouring of crayfish is upon us! With a new bbq pit, I think we're going to garlic butter grill them. *salivating* It's been over two years now, since I've been to quaint Pauanui and am feeling excited to drive on its' red roads, take photos of the witch's house and dance in the sand.
In other news, our house is slowly coming together. Our herb patch is doing well. Caterpillars, clovers (Nath's ultimate nemesis he says) and earthworms prove it. I think. Haha. I must say, having the luxury to step outside and pick a herb is quite satisfying. I've been very patiently waiting on the cherry tomatoes to ripen. When?! Will put some photos up when they do (soon, cross fingers).
Anyway, here are some photos of the place. Just bits and bobs. The dining area is of cosy size and we went back and forth between a 4/6 seater table. Then, there were colour themes etc. I had some crazy ideas actually, we shall not discuss them. When we finally settled on this one, the sales assistant in the store funnily commented on the irony of its size and well, of Nath's. In his words, he said it looked like Nath was sitting in a baby chair. Haha. Perhaps, against better judgement, we went for it anyway. Here's our little table...Oh yeah, what a coincidence? Nath turned to me and said, "Looks like most things in this room was made in Malaysia," and laughed to himself. Lame... (:
