So, a couple of months ago I decided to make a definite decision. Hah.
It came unexpectedly and somehow rushed in all that out-of-the-blues bring. Hmm, yes how can it be unexpected when it was decided? I suppose I was surprised that I finally picked a time to extricate myself from life as I knew it. Perhaps extricate is a tad or too extreme a word. I was getting cabin fever though! Okay, justified. Hah.
Anyway, if I were to wrap up life in that continent, I wanted to slowly soak in all that I chose to leave. The three 'Fs'... Family, friends and food. And it was so necessary.
The month that I had was oddly, probably one of the best things I put in a box, ribboned and presented to myself. Yayyys for wise decisions!

With a few more days till uni begins, I'm taking my time to savour these few and last remaining days of 'in betweens'. On a side note, this business of savouring things is a lesson I consciously remember. Not sure though, if I already had the habit of savouring life/ food/ moments but I can recall Uncle T emphasising on the importance in its process. Random memories carries me on this continuity of savouring. The art of savouring however, I taught myself. Or rather, learned over and over and so it goes on...
On Friday last, we braved the crowds and ventured to Auckland's annual Lantern Festival. Music, food, lights, a crowd. What's not to love? For me, having just come from Malaysia, I wasn't too interested in the food but was really enthused about the lanterns! Yes, I have an affinity for those vibrant and storytelling lights. Wish I brought my neglected camera along! Poos.

The incredibly fun thing was snapping these photos in a hurry so as to not interrupt the flow of the throngs of bodies! But also, to keep up with my company. It was amusing to observe them, who had barely noticed that I had parted the group to capture these poorly taken photos. *sadness* (: Sneaking back to them was always easy thanks to Nathy's height. Bending and sliding between was exhilarating in a small way that mattered. All the same, I enjoyed it.
