"Will we ever get away from this place?"
If there's one thing I appreciate in this city, it would be the allowances to be an escapologist over and over and over. Feeling stifled with my environment? Drive south or north, west/ east and tadaa... pick your reverie. Two weekends ago, I ventured to the Auckland Botanic Gardens in Manurewa. Grabbed a roast chicken on the way and ate it whole! In line with summer, Sculpture in the Gardens has returned and is free for all. Open space, art and greenery? A definite win in my opinion.
